How it feels to be photographed by us

Come on a photoshoot date!

There’s something we hear quite often before a shoot:" We’re a bit nervous - we’re not used to be in front of the camera."

And that makes so much sense. Most people associate being photographed with being watched, with needing to perform, with the pressure to look a certain way. But for us, it´s not about how it looks, but how it feels for you.

1. It’s not about getting the perfect picture - it’s about being together!

We don’t see a photoshoot as something you “have to get through”. We see it as intentional time. Time where you can slow down, where you are present with each other and where you step out of the day for a moment to connect with each other and have an intimate beautiful time. That’s why we often describe it as a photoshoot date ! A date where you can just be you.

We don’t believe in one way of doing things!
Not every couple is soft and quiet.
Not every couple is loud and playful.

Some feel closest in stillness, some in movement, some in chaos, some in silence. Our role is not to fit you into a concept, but to understand how you naturally are together.

2. You don’t have to know how to do this

You don’t need to know how to pose or to be “photogenic”, and there’s nothing you need to prepare or practice before. The only thing you need to bring is yourselves. We work with movement, with small, gentle prompts, with real moments. Instead of giving you a list of poses, we shift the focus away from the camera entirely. We guide you through small, natural actions rather than static positions.

Not “stand here and smile” but “walk together slowly” , “pull them a little closer” , “whisper something only they can hear” . This creates movement, interaction, and real reactions, which immediately takes away that feeling of being staged. From there, something natural starts to unfold. Something that doesn’t feel staged or forced, but simply like you being you.

3. Movement instead of perfection

While standing still could make you overthink, movement creates flow. It stops overthinking and makes you forget the camera. The moment you stop focusing on the camera and start moving, interacting, and simply being with each other - that’s when something real begins to happen. Maybe you start running, playing around like no one’s watching, tickling each other until you can’t stop laughing or maybe you pull each other closer in the middle of it all and everything suddenly gets quiet for a second.

These moments create real emotions, intimacy, fun and a connection to each other. These are the moments we’re drawn to. Because they’re not planned. They’re not performed and they just happen. Those are the images that stay with you. Not because they’re perfect, but because they hold a feeling you recognize, even years later.

4. Make it YOUR date

The setting can be anything you want. There are so many opportunities to create a photoshoot that fits you. A setting that feels natural, that feels like you. That’s why we always encourage choosing something personal instead of “perfect”.

This could be:

wandering through the city and grab an ice cream
sharing a pizza together on the kitchen floor
a hike in nature that feels quiet and safe
visiting a museum or an amusement park
dancing in the middle of the street

When the environment feels familiar, you automatically feel more like yourselves.

5. What you’ll take with you

When the shoot is over, we want you to feel like a date you didn’t want to end. Slow, close, and full of small, meaningful moments. A space where you could just be. Laugh, be quiet, hold each other, without thinking about anything else. We want you to leave feeling connected. A little softer, a little closer than before. Because it’s not just about the photos. It’s about the feeling of being there and something beautiful you experienced as a couple. The closeness, the intimacy and the way everything else fades into the background for a while.

We wish that a photoshoot date with us is something that stays with you. So when you look back at your photos, you don’t just see what it looked like, you remember how it felt.

6. Photoreportage over staged photos

There are moments that don’t need direction. Moments that are already complete, just as they are. We’re constantly reading the situation: Is this a moment to guide or a moment to step back? Because often, the most meaningful images happen when you forget we’re even there.

We approach photography as a form of documentation. We are often silent observers, we capture what you truly feel. Just the way you act with each other and communicate love in your personal ways. We capture your pure moments and document your love as it is. Raw and imperfect.

As wedding photographers, we get to see a lot of beautiful places - but some locations just feel different. They carry a certain energy, tell their own story and create a space where real moments happen naturally. If you're dreaming of a wedding that’s personal, emotional, and full of atmosphere, these are one of our favorite wedding venues in Austria.

1. Stammhaus Jöbstl – Southern Styria

Set among soft hills and endless vineyards, Stammhaus Jöbstl feels like a scene from a romantic movie. There's a natural warmth to this place - traditional yet full of heart, with an incredible view that glows in the evening light. It’s not overly polished or staged, and that’s exactly why we love it. The vibe is real and incredibly inviting. It’s the kind of location where love feels tangible, and where we can capture the most intimate, emotional moments.

We’ve had the joy of shooting several weddings here, and every single time it feels so familiar. One reason for that? The owners themselves – one of the loveliest people. Warm, welcoming and uncomplicated, they make couples and vendors feel truly cared for. You instantly sense that you're in good hands. What makes the venue even more special: there are several beautiful ceremony spots to choose from. Whether it’s in the middle of a labyrinth surrounded by vines, beside the calm pond or in the woods - each setting has its own charm and offers a unique atmosphere for your vows. Another Highlight is the culinary experience. With their own wines, craft beers, gin and schnapps, Stammhaus Jöbstl offers something truly special. 2. Schloss Haggenberg – Lower Austria

If you're into historic charm mixed with modern elegance, Schloss Haggenberg is an absolute dream. Hidden in the peaceful countryside of Lower Austria, this 800-year-old castle is a place full of soul, stories and atmosphere. We’ve had the pleasure of shooting an Indian/Austrian wedding here, and when we walked through the gates, we’re taken in by the unique and historic energy of this place. Everything is open, inviting, and full of beautiful light. Whether you’re dreaming of a nature-connected ceremony in the garden, framed by old trees and a romantic pond, a celebration in the baroque ballroom or a Wedding Dinner with fairy lights in the courtyard of the castle, this venue gives you space to shape your day the way you want.

What we really love about Schloss Haggenberg is, its authenticity. The romantic garden is perfect for an intimate first look or a couple shoot, and when the sun sets behind the stone façade, the entire place glows with a cinematic light that’s so beautiful to capture with our cameras. One of the things that makes this venue really special is that it´s not just for your wedding celebration. You can also spend a night or the entire weekend at the castle. Up to 13 guests can stay overnight in the four beautifully restored rooms, which means there’s space for close family or your inner circle of friends. For us, Schloss Haggenberg is a photographic dream. It´s so cinematic and dreamy.

3. Weinschloss Thaller – Styria

Tucked away in the heart of the Styrian wine country, Weinschloss Thaller is one of those places that is both elegant and full of soul. Surrounded by vineyards and golden light, it’s a venue that feels timeless. The ceremony pavilion, with its sweeping views over the vineyards and the iconic Riegersburg in the distance, is something truly special. We’ve had the joy of capturing several weddings there and it's so special every time a couple says their vows here, with that Styrian breeze and the sun dipping behind the hills, is pure magic.

And then there’s the wine: A guided wine tour through the estate is not just a lovely pre-wedding activity, it’s an experience that connects everyone to the place and its roots. It adds something real and grounded to the whole celebration. What makes this venue even more special to us are the wonderful people behind it. The owners are not only incredibly warm and welcoming, but also genuinely invested in creating a beautiful, smooth experience for the couple and the vendors. You feel their care in every detail, and it makes working here - and celebrating here - such a joy.

From the moment we first walked into Palais St. Georg, we knew it was something special. There’s a quiet elegance to this place that doesn’t need to be loud to leave an impression. Just 15 minutes from the city center Graz, and yet it feels like a little world of its own - calm, minimal, and full of soft beauty. The dreamy architecture, tall windows, and curated details give the space a refined feel, but never in a way that overshadows what really matters: the people, the emotions, and the in-between moments.

One of our favorite spots is the sweet little garden strung with fairy lights, perfect for a relaxed dinner, a heartfelt ceremony, or a quiet, intimate couple shooting under the stars. As the evening unfolds, it transforms into something truly magical. Palais St. Georg is for couples who want something intimate and meaningful, a space that feels personal, where every emotion is allowed to breathe, and every photo tells a story.
